VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic

Our mission at VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic is simple: To provide veterinarians, their clients and pets with the highest-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care as it relates to internal medicine, oncology and cardiology. This mission begins with the help of respected doctors in the specialties of internal medicine and oncology; outstanding support staff including receptionists, veterinary technicians, intensive care technicians and kennel technicians. All of the doctors and staff work closely together as a team to provide the best care for your pet.

Our mission is fulfilled through comprehensive services aimed at complementing our relationships with our referring veterinarians, the clients, and the lives of the pets that we all love.

We are fortunate to accomplish this mission using the latest advancements in equipment and facilities that referring veterinarians expect and clients demand. Once of these advancements is the TrueBeam® Radiotherapy System. The TrueBeam® system brings leading edge cancer care to communities by positioning clinics at the forefront in the fight against cancer. Designed from the ground up to treat moving targets with advanced speed and accuracy, the TrueBeam® platform is a fully-integrated system for image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery. The TrueBeam® system treats cancer anywhere in the body where radiation treatment is indicated, including lung, breast, prostate and head and neck.

James T. Custis III, DVM, MS, DACVR (Radiation Oncology), VCA’s veterinary radiation oncologist explains, “With the precision and accuracy of the TrueBeam®, tumors are targeted while preferentially sparing surrounding normal tissues. Protocols involving fewer visits and shorter treatment times, while also improving local tumor response and minimizing side effects, are now a reality for veterinary cancer patients. This technology benefits our patients, clients, and partnering veterinarians.”
